Faro Airport (FAO) is located about 4 miles from downtown Faro.

The car rental desks of major companies, such as Hertz, Avis, Europcar, Enterprise, and Sixt, are situated in the Arrivals Area of the terminal. For companies without a physical counter inside the terminal, such as some local or smaller operators, services are provided at the P4 parking area, located about 800 feet to the left outside the Arrivals Hall. If you need to complete the check-in process, you can do so at the desk or self-service kiosk, then simply head to the nearby parking area to pick up your vehicle.

Drop-offs: Vehicles rented from companies with desks inside the terminal should be returned to their designated terminal parking. Those from Park P4 must be returned there.

Payment: A credit card is typically required for both payment and the security deposit. Some companies may also accept debit cards under certain conditions.
